Caitlin Reid, a Michigan native with a passion for both arts and sciences, began her journey in Theater Production at Oakland University, including a study abroad experience in Mexico. She later earned a B.S. in Program in the Environment from the University of Michigan, where she developed a multidisciplinary understanding of physical science, social science, and policy.

From 2010 to 2021, Caitlin lived in New York City, gaining diverse experiences in restaurant management, environmental research, and immigration law before earning her M.A. in Climate & Society at Columbia University. She helped launch a NASA DEVELOP hub at Columbia’s International Research Institute in Climate and Society facility, where her Videomaking Best Practices Guide raised video standards program-wide. She later joined Risk Management Solutions (now part of Moody’s Analytics), where she specialized in catastrophe risk modeling, developing trainings and custom learning resources, and global product marketing.

In 2023, after attending Motion Picture Institute and earning her Certification in Film Production, Caitlin founded Huvi Productions, LLC, a video production company, and Huvi Learn, an educational initiative focused on making filmmaking accessible to neurodivergent self-learners. She offers introductory film and video workshops, is developing activity books for neurodivergent creatives, and provides individual and group tutoring for K-12 students and adults—helping learners improve study skills, navigate ADHD/AuDHD, and build confidence in their education.

Passionate about neurodivergence awareness, Caitlin blends her lived experience with professional insight to help others understand their unique learning styles and creative potential. She also works as a Circulation Clerk at her local library, where she enjoys connecting with her community and exploring the wide variety of materials that come through each day. In addition, Caitlin serves as a Instructional Design & Quality Assurance Specialist in the online learning department at Washtenaw Community College, where she helps ensure that digital courses meet high standards of accessibility, clarity, and learner engagement.

Caitlin continues to support independent film projects across Southeast and Mid-Michigan as a freelance videographer and camera operator. Outside of work, she enjoys dark comedies, takes nature walks with and without her camera, and spends time with her Maine Coon mix cat, Leela-Rose.
