🎥 Learn Filmmaking, Your Way
If you're someone who’s been thinking about making a short film, experimenting with video, or just want to understand cameras, lighting, and editing in a beginner-friendly way… I’ve been building a workshop just for you.
But before I finalize it, I’d love your input.
I created a quick (3–5 minute) survey to learn what kinds of support, tools, and pacing would actually help you — especially if you:
-
Have an interest in film but don’t want pressure
-
Create for fun or for your small business
-
Want hands-on learning with room to ask questions
-
Learn best with visuals, repetition, or calm guidance
-
Have ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or simply a nonlinear brain
-
Tried filmmaking before and want a fresh, supportive re-entry
Your answers will directly shape the structure, tone, and tools I use in upcoming in-person workshops — including my next 8-week Intro to Filmmaking & Video class starting June 17 in Southeast Michigan.
Even if you’re not sure you’ll take a class, your insights are valuable. You might help me design a better learning environment for someone like you.

🧠 What’s This Workshop About?
This isn’t a bootcamp or a film school. It’s a quiet, welcoming space to explore the basics of filmmaking — storyboarding, camera use, lighting, sound, and editing — at a pace that respects your brain and your process. By the end of the 8 sessions, you’ll have made a 1-minute short film (yes, really!) and gained skills you can carry into future projects.
Whether you’re 16 or 66, a total beginner, a hobbyist, or an actor or creator who just wants to better understand how it all works, there’s a place for you here.
